On making the environmental movement inclusive:

“I believe that it is a common misconception that one part of the country or one demographic owns the passion for doing well.

I believe that it does come from everywhere, and I'm constantly inspired by the amazing choices and the passion that we find for more sustainable solutions from folks in all walks of life and from all geographies.”

On consumer choice in today's marketplace:

"What's happening now, which is so magical, is that consumers can choose for themselves. It used to be the case that if you wanted to have natural laundry detergent, you had to make it at home because all you could get was whatever was at the stores in driving distance.

Now, with companies like Grove being direct-to-consumer, anybody can have access to more natural products. We've skipped this choke point where the big consumer brands own access to the consumer.

So, anyone with a smartphone can easily get access to products that are better for their health and better for the environment.”

Final words of wisdom:

"Thank you for everything that you do every day to make a positive impact. I really believe that every person counts and that the urgency on these issues is extreme. I feel fortunate to be one of the so many people pulling on the rope in the right direction.

I hope that many of the folks listening to this are able to find really positive and productive outlets for the incredibly positive and conscientiousness energy.”
